I would like to show you an example of this underprint on a stamp but, as yet, I have been unable to locate one. Moses, Levy & Co. were Merchants and Wholesale Clothiers (specialising in sailors work wear) and although trading from various locations had their main office at: 2 & 3 Aldgate, The company was started as Henry Moses and Son and became Moses Levy & Co. when the son, Abraham Lyon Moses (1775-1854) went into business with Abraham Levy (1782-1848).
