These underprints are believed to be from the firm Francis Peek, Winch & Co. (known previously as Peek Brothers & Co. and Peek Bros. & Winch Ltd.) a firm of Tea Brokers & Merchants. They operated from: 3 & 4 Fenchurch Street, at the time the underprint was in use. A Post Office Commercial Directory of 1865 has two consecutive entries for them as: “Peek Bros. & Co. who. tea, coffee & spice dealers, 20 & 21 Eastcheap EC; 31 Love lane EC, and 4 St. Mary-at-hill EC
