Introduction

My main area of interest are the British stamps of Queen Victoria, especially those with protective overprints and underprints.

Other related areas of interest are the Pears' Soap underprints and Perfins of firms who progressed to this form of security protection from the earlier use of overprints and underprints.  I plan to add a Perfin section to the site as soon as time permits.

Note.  Due to space limitations (20 MB with Demon, my old host for the web site) I was unable to show images of each stamp I possess.  In most cases I had to limit myself to a single image for each PP catalogue number rather than showing an example from each plate - instead I showed the plate number in bold to indicate I had an particular example.

As I have moved to a new hosting platform with more space (200 MB) I will over time add more images.
